Yo.  So - SOF2 CTF has started off well for us, been good games and good opponents, so thats cool.  But unfortunately once again the ugly head of paranoia has dampened an otherwise excellent match up. 

I wasn't aware that this was possible, but there is a server side punkbuster variable that you can set so that when pb finds a violation it will take a screenshot and give info about the violation.  Pretty sweet deal, aside from this particular case.  The screenshot in question is here.  

Upon viewing that a lot of us were like wtf is it?  Well SPD obviously had the same questions and brought it to the CAL admins for review, and I guess I can't blame them for that.  Here is the official response from Evenbalance :

And this is then the reply from the CAL Admin:

"Based on the information provided, ive come to the conlusion that =pci=cuthach was indeed playing without the use of hacks. The pb ss at first looked like a wallhack however, when i sent the pbss to evenbalance they told me that it was a bug in pbss. This, plus the demo provided by pci adds up and i can honestly say that he was not hacking. If you would like to see the demo, let me know and i'll send it to you."

Hopefully this will be proof enough for other clans out there, if not - not much we can do about it.  PCI hates cheating more than anything and none of us ever have or will cheat, be it pub, lan, or match.  That is and always will be a fact.  Being accused of cheating is very much a part of this hobby, and although its at times insulting and annoying, we know its not true and will continue to play our game how we know best - by comms, strats, teamwork and of course - aim :)  

To those players out there who know this about us and continue to pub, scrim, and have fun with us - thanks.  To those players out there who take the easy route and cry hacks without any proof and try to perpetuate that rumor about us - we play harder when we get pissed so just keep that in mind ;)  And as always, if you still want further proof - come LAN with us sometime - its a fun time and we enjoy gettin to know other clans out there in gaming land.  Peace out and ggz.

VCA-Saint has been kind enough to make a server monitor page for our very own SOF2 Server - the =PCI=Plagueground.  Check it out here!  I suspect we will have to try to get the crowds back playin there now :)  Thanks again Saint.

Things might seem pretty dead around here but I can assure you that is not quite the case.  After retiring from the SOF2 Infiltration leagues and ladders, we all took a much needed break, with many of us getting into some PS2 and even some MMORPGS.  But now in 2003 it appears =PCI= is coagulating once again and is eyeing some SOF2 CTF.  Not sure how long that will last or what, but people seem to be enjoying that so that's cool.

Hopefully 2003 will bring us some cool new games and hardware to play with.  Oh - I'd also like to take this time to officially welcome =PCI=cuthach!  He has been a friend of ours since the old WF days - and comes to us from HLM.  He will be helpin us out on this CTF thing if I am not mistaken.

Other than that, seems to still be a lot of paranoia around on the servers these days.  I guess that isn't overly surprising, but I had really hoped that Punkbuster would have put out some of those fires, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  In a country where "innocent until proven guilty" is the motto, its strange that it has become the exact opposite in the gaming community.  Once it was "damn that was a nice shot" and "you guys are damn good" and I even remember meeting players that would beat me down like nothing I had ever imagined - and that only drove me to play against them more so I could be as good as them.  To those players out there that still promote this kind of attitude - I salute you.  To all the newbie whiners that accuse everyone at the drop of a hat of cheating - plz go die in a fire k thx.

Sup llams.  You want update?  I show u update. This is rumor control and here are the facts:

Q) Did =PCI= disband?
A) pffft lol noob

Q) Does =PCI= still play SoF2?
A) depends on who you ask and to what degree you mean 'play'.  A few of us still do yes, but whether we will still play in competitions and whatnot is anyone's guess.

Q) Did =PCI= leave SoF2 cause they kept losing all the time to good clans like zfz?
A) wtf?

Q) Does =PCI= cheat?
A) cheating is the lamest thing you can do in a game period.  none of us do, or associate with anyone who does.  no matter how many times this is said, people are still going to be childish morons (*cough* Nachos).  your options are 1) get better, 2) come lan with us 3) stfu.  #3 is the easiest and the one i would recommend most thx.

Q) Is =PCI= going to play UT2003?  
A) not going to dignify this with response

Q) Why hasn't your website been updated?
A) die in a fire

Q) So wtf then, what is up with your clan?
A) =PCI= is like ninja.  we move fast and silently from game to game, swiftly dispose of llamas, and then fade into shadow again.  look i'll be frank with you, there are a ton of games out, and =PCI= is a clan of gaming freaks.  a lot of us play PS2, MMRPGS, and like to try all the different games that the industry throws to us like scraps of meat at a pack of wild ravenous dogs.  its quite disgusting actually.  =PCI= as a unit shines brightest when we all agree/focus on one game for a while, as some of you might have seen during SoF2 or RA3 or hell even WF (memmmoriees).  when we are all playing different/multiple games, we still talk every day and pick on Mud a lot, you just dont see it.

Q) Sounds like you guys are a bunch of dix
A) nah just wump (plus thats not a question you moron).  most of us are cool and if you wanna scrim or just mess around in a game or whatever - the conference room is open 24/7 to discuss such arrangements, i am sure you could stir up some good competition no matter what the game.  i mean hell chode plays the sims and du plays some online bombing run game and jabes is still addicted to bejeweled i am sure.  so ya just cuz we appear to be defunct it is far far from the truth (you have got a lot of nerve mister).
